Email server ip is blacklisted and information about DKIM and BATV

Hi,

i have XG230 v18 Mr4 , it is configured in MTA mode. Microsoft Exchange email server is placed in its DMZ. iin Mail-->General setting i check scan outgoing email.

but i found that my email server IP is blacklisted. i have checked that live/MX ip is only being used by email server.

how can i check that my outgoing scanning is working properly or not?

how can i dig out why my ip got blacklisted?

Question1: also please share your advise about implementation of DKIM in SOPHOS?? is it for inbound email or outboud? by implementing DKIM what level of protection will i achive? is there any chance of legitimate email drop by implementing DKIM

Question2: also please share your advise about implementation of BATV in SOPHOS?? is it for inbound email or outboud? by implementing BATV what level of protection will i achive? is there any chance of legitimate email drop by implementing BATV

    Hi ,

Thanks for reaching out to the Community!

Check out the following document to configure scanning for outbound emails:

Ensure that you block relay from any hosts/network and allow relay only from your mail server; go to Email > Relay settings. Under Host-based relay, select the internal mail server only and add Any in block relay from hosts/network. This setting will prevent your firewall become an open relay.

Check out the following document for more information regarding DKIM and BATV:

The BATV check will only drop inbound bounced back emails that didn't originally start from your mail server.

You'd have to check the email logs on your mail server and firewall to ensure that outbound emails are routed through the firewall, scanned for outbound spam.

    Thanks,
