Sophos XG 18.04 Web proxy no web filters enabled, still at random the webfilter block pops up

I am looking at using the XG as Web Proxy and I testing how it performs. 

Issues:

  • I can use Chrome with AD authorisation. Sometimes the login portal pops up, but not always. it looks random and can be in the middle of a working session. The login portal only accepts local XG accounts and no AD pass tru. 
  • At first Google was blocked with the notice that search engines category is blocked. I checked the settings but it is not in the applied Firewall rule Web Filter set. It is also not in the default web filter rules that apply to anybody. The category is set to acceptable. so why that block? I disabled all web filters and sometimes website are blocked at random that worked before and will start to work again at random. 

Pointers to get this stable are appreciated.

    Good morning, 

    it is not a pop up window if I gave you that impression. Instead of the website page you are trying to see, you get a Sophos login page. It is random, now it works than it doesn’t and a Sophos login page appears. I can make a screenshot of it today. Maybe the AD DC doesn’t respond in time under heavy workload?

    It has been working correctly for a while and than this pops up in the middel of a session:

    When I look at the logviewer than I also see two other domain users associated with my SRC IP address hitting the firewall rule allowed. They are not logged in on this W10 client and IP adress. This W10 client does not allow remote deskop, So that is a sure error.

    It are RDS server users.  I also have a session open from the W10 Client to the RDS server with my domain user.  The RDS server uses a different proxy server and gateway.
