It seems a very old issue is back with MacOS 11.3. If you save VPN password in Keychain, connection cannot be established anymore (probably because Tunnelblick cannot get password from Keychain)
Workaround
defaults delete net.tunnelblick.tunnelblick <connection-name>-keychainHasUsernameAndPassword
reconnect and enter username and password. Username can be saved, but not password
