Sophos Authentication Client (IP and Cert)

Hello everyone,

We are using Sophos appliance in our company and clients are connecting to internet through Sophos Authentication Client. Here we have two questions:

1. In Cyberoam, we could change firewall address in properties and using registry keys. How can we do it in Sophos? That helped us in situations we needed to changed the firewall's IP address or FQDN name.

2. In Sophos Authentication Client, there is a certification which must be installed on client. What would happen if we install a new certificate on firewall? Does it mean we have to deploy a new version of authentication client on workstations? Or they are still able to connect to the device with default certification?

Although it is possible to deploy new version of client authenticator and its certificate using GPO and we can also deploy new version of that in case of changing IP address or FQDN name, but it is clearly a super weak solution to have a series of deployments. If we could do these steps just on client by changing Registry keys or we could still use old certificate on client ( a Firewall can use more than one certificates), we could give Sophos 4 stars out of 5.
