How to configure Multi-WAN load-balancing based on speed of links

Hi,

I am writing to you because I would like to know if it is possible to do load balancing on WAN links based on their speed.

I would like to explain:
For example, I have 2 links at 100 Mb/s and their weights are configured at 1 and 1 (i.e. 50/50).

One day, WAN 1 drops to 5 Mb/s but WAN 2 remains at 100 Mb/s.

I would like my firewall to automatically switch 90% of the computers on WAN 1 to WAN 2, without having to intervene manually.

My client has an xg 125 firewall, the firmware is SFOS 17.5.9 MR-9.

Is it possible to set this up?

Regards,

Raphaelle

Hi Raphaëlle BARRE DE SAINT VENANT,

Thanks for reaching out to the Community!

The Sophos Firewall uses a weighted round-robin algorithm for load balancing, distributing traffic among the ISP links based on the links' weight.

Unfortunately, the gateway load balancing and failover can't switch traffic actively based on the link speed.

    Thanks,
