In my own setup I have setup this:
SFOS v18.0.4-MR4 joined to Sophos central, all central features enabled.
Sophos endpoint installed on endpoint, all to the same central tenant as the XG is joined toSophos XG is connected to the local Active Directory.
The authentication log of the XG shows:
I am logging in with my UPN which is also my email address: martin@domain.dk
I read something about samAccountname, but do not know if this is still an issue.
Any help would be appreciated :-)
Added info:
"The XG Firewall heartbeat daemon receives the clients' heartbeat status along with the domain name and username. The domain is taken from the User Principle Name (UPN) of the users’ AD record, and the username is taken from the sAMAccountName."
my samAccoutname is "Martin" and the upn domain is domain.dk så I think that should be okay.
maybe the XG does not authenticate properly with AD?
When I press test, it comes out "green"
I found out on userportal, Icannot use my mail as username, just my samaccountname, and when I am logged into userportal is shows that i am logged in as martin@activedirectorydomain.local
i think the error lies here?
