Find XG public ip address

Hi, this seems like it should be simple but I need to find the public address of my xg firewall.

trying to setup a red device I need the firewalls ip address or name but I can't find where this is set in the xg interface.

I've tried all the ip's in the range that I can find but none of them work - is there any way I can find what the address I should be using is.

Apologies but I've inherited this and this is the first time external access directly to the firewall has been needed as far as I know.

Thanks for reaching out, and welcome to the Sophos Community!

Go to CONFIGURE > Network > Interfaces > Check the interface with the WAN zone; you could use this interface's IP address.

ok, I've got a range under wan - I've tried each of them in turn for the sophos red but none of them work.

i've found the one that responds to the user portal externally. is this the right one for a sophos red ?

You could open the following link from one of the workstation that is connected to your firewall to check the public IP address:

http://checkip.amazonaws.com/

Should be simple but we have multiple addresses - none of them work and it seems that sophos is unwilling\unable to provide any documentation for configuring the sd red devices beyond the basic leaflet.
