PS5 connection

Hi everyone,I’ve been trying to connect to The Internet through Wi-Fi and land however I am unable to do so and I don’t know what the reason is.

i’ve already confirmed that my PS five is working and is operational it might help to know that I live in a fire house so the firewall is restricting a lot of stuff.

I am fairly in experience with firewalls and I can’t figure out why I’m unable to connect to the Internet can someone please help me with this?

Thanks a lot!

  • Hello Arash,

Thank you for contacting the Sophos Community.

To help narrow down where the issue is, I would recommend you check

    1) The Device in question is getting an IP

    2) There is a Firewall rule to allow the traffic from this IP and Zone outside

    3) Confirm the device can reach the Firewall (you are seeing traffic from the device arriving to the Firewall)

    4) Do a GUI packet capture in the Firewall to see where the traffic is going once the XG receives it

    5) Confirm if the device is being proxied

    6) Is the device able to Ping IPs on the internet (e.g. 8.8.8.8) if so, might be specific sites only that can't reach

    Regards,

  • Thank you for your response however I have no idea how to do steps 2,3,4, and 5. Is there a tutorial on how to do these steps?

The device does get an IP and is able to ping IPs on the internet.

    Thanks!
