Slow web browsing - problem with awarenhttp.log -> request.c:1962 webcat_request_timeout called, index

Hi,

today (10.3.2021) from 6:37 AM (Central European Time) we have an issue with slow web browsing on our Sophos XG 210. In the awarenhttp.log we see many messages:

request.c:1962  webcat_request_timeout called, index <INDEX>

This issue is only on rules where the web policies / content scanning is enabled.

Do you have any outage?

    Thanks for reaching out to the Community! 

    There wasn't an outage with the web categorization service, according to the internal reports. 

    Are you using internal or external DNS servers? 

    Have you noticed any spike in resource utilization on your firewall or issue with the WINGc and nsxld service? 

    You can check the status of the services from the Advanced shell using the following command: service -S | grep <ServiceName>
