IP Alias Firewall

Hello

i have a 192.168.1.0/24 network and i have created an IP alias to this of 192.168.2.0/24. The gateways are 192.168.1.254 and 192.168.2.254 respectively. All my windows servers, Access points, network printers are on the 192.168.1.0/24 network. i want to assign static IPs to additional computers on the 192.168.2.0/24 IP alias network but i want them to communicate with the servers, access points and also able to print off the network printers. If i gave a computer an IP 192.168.2.67, will it be able to communicate with these windows servers, access points and printers on the 192.168.1.0/24 network? how do i achieve this?

KR,

Stephen

  • I expect you will need a rule between the IP address ranges? Why don’t you make the address range a 192.168.0.0/22? I think that should cover the range.
