Wifi Zones - simple question

Hi All,

Is a bridged-to-LAN  WiFi network considered to be in the LAN zone or WIFI zone, for firewall rules purposes?

Thanks

Adrian

    Hi Adrian,

It’s considered as a LAN Zone as long as the Port it's bridged to is in the LAN. If the AP connects to Port 3 and if Port 3 is defined as DMZ then the AP will fall into DMZ zone.

Bridged -to-LAN is just a terminology indicating that the AP will be bridged to the interface.

WiFi zone is basically considered when you configure AP as a separate zone. :)

    Hope this helps
