User can't log in with STAS - XG 210 SFOS 17.5.14

I have a problem that is bothering me for a couple of weeks now, we have an Windows Server 2012 R2 Standard with STAS SSO installed and configured, everything works fine(we have 50~ users), except for one specific user, that simply doesn't authenticate anymore, doesn't get displayed  on STAS "show live users" or on XG "current activities", honestly i don't know what more i could do to understand what is happening, this problem started about 2 weeks ago, here is a list of what i already did:

1 - Verified WMI connection to host, 445 is open and working(deploy through GPO and tested with powershell/STAS)

2 - On remote PC, i did the standard stuff, ipconfig /release /renew /registerdns /flushdns(to get a new IP from my DHCP server), i even restored the user to its default values.

3 - On my AD, I get event logs from the user, both login(successful) and logoff, but doesn't show on "view log" in STAS, it looks like it doesn't get detected at all.

Sophos XG 210, with SFOS 17.5.14, STAS version 2.2.1.0, everything is within the same network(192.168.68.0/23)

Has anyone here faced a similar problem?

  • Hello Jeysel,

Thank you for contacting the Sophos Community.

I would recommend you to check on the Exclusion List of the XG to see if maybe his username or IP is bypassed from there.

If you create a test user and access from the computer of this user, do you see this new user in the STAS?

    Regards,

  • I've tried other users on the same PC, didn't work, but as my last resource I removed that PC from my domain and inserted again, now everything is fine, STAS is recognizing login and logoff correctly.

I can't confirm if it was that action that solved the problem, but...you know. Go figure.

    Thanks for the reply.
