Application exclusion from being scanned;

Hi community,

For back-up purposes we are using backup software through dedicated local user account.

For this procedure there is high amount of internal traffic being used.

Is there a way to exclude this application or user's data from being scanned by the firewall for speeding up data transfer process and lowering the device resources.

Thanks for response,

Application is working local in windows based backup server.

It takes VSS images of clients and servers via its local configuration to the network attached NAS storage.
There is no cloud based upstream and wan bandwith being used.
Totally local solution.

Hi,

you are using this over a number of network interfaces?

If not then the application is broadcasting and you can't stop that without changing the application configuration.

Thanks, there is no need for any precaution in this sceneario on the firewall as i understand.

Maybe in Endpoint Security?
