Kingdel Mini PC, Fanless Industrial PC, Intel i5 Dual Core CPU, 8GB RAM, 128GB SSD, 2xNICs, 4xUSB 3.0, 4xCOM RS232, HD Port, Metal Case or PC?

I'm looking at this for an XP Home server https://www.amazon.com/Kingdel-Powerful-Desktop-Computer-Industrial/dp/B07DM1MGG8/ref=sr_1_9?crid=1FEZEHUIOJGPH&dchild=1&keywords=mini%2Bpc%2Bdual%2Bethernet%2Bi5%2B128gb%2Bssd&qid=1612373825&s=electronics&sprefix=mini%2Bpc%2Bdual%2B%2Celectronics%2C175&sr=1-9&th=1  My concerns are 1) compatibility and 2) gui speed. Anyone have any experience with this box? I'm not against using a PC but would like suggestions on known compatible network cards and proc that will ensure a fast gui experience (new i3, 2 gen old i5, etc). I'm looking to run this as a dedicated box, not a vm. Thank you!

  • Hi,

please edit your post so the heading is not in bold and it does not need all of that information .

The USB and com ports are not used. If the NICs are i219 type they are not supported. GUI performance is based on CPU speed as is the XG performance an I5 does not give you any advantage over an I3 or even a xeon based machine.
