Opening Ports to private LAN

Hey,

I try to open some Ports on my XG86 to a Synology NAS Device.

SSH is predefined, I also defined some other Ports. I use the DNAT Wizard, hope thats the right way.

I use the PPPoE/WAN Port as Source and the NAS Device as the Target.

Well, the rules are there, but when I test the Ports, they are still stealth and closed Disappointed

Is there a simple how-to for portforwarding, maybe even in german language?

Thanks!

  • Hello there,

Thank you for contacting the Sophos Community!

Are you seeing the traffic arriving to the WAN interface?

Try doing a tcpdump from the Advanced Shell of the XG using the ports your NAS Device uses.

tcpdump -eni PortX host x.x.x.x and port 443 (Substitute the X on port for the port used by the XG in the WAN, and x.x.x.x for the Public IP of your WAN interface, and the outside port you configured.
