UTM to XG Wireless issues with Android/other

Hello All.  So we are in the process of upgrading several UTM's to XG firewall's.  These firewalls also manage some AP50's and AP55 access points.  When we deployed the XG's they popped up and were adopted just fine into the XG firewall.  Also, based on pattern/firmware they all updated to the latest firmware as well.  We are running the latest firmware on the XG's as well 18 MR4.

So 2 things are happening:

#1) Each location has some Android devices (handheld) that used to work fine on Wifi with DHCP.  However, now these devices will get an IP from DHCP and after about 24 hours they will stop communicating out.  Any other device connected to DHCP works fine (Windows, etc).  We have played with the wireless encryption a bit but have had no luck.  Note that these are all Android devices (there are a few with different versions of android).  If we set them to static IP's they seem to function.  The difference between the IP info from DHCP and the ones that are static is that with DHCP the DNS server points to the XG gateway for DNS whereas when we set to static we point it to public DNS (1.1.1.1).  I am not sure this makes a difference in this case.

#2) Other devices that connect via wireless are getting a notification that they need to login to use the wireless.  For instance, we have a few Linux desktop computers with wireless cards in them that worked fine on the UTM.  But now they are prompting for a password which is almost like a captive portal situation but captive portal is not enabled.  They do connect to the wifi and internet, etc but they are still getting this password prompt (NOT the wifi password prompt).

So I am wondering if the issue with #2 is why we are having the issue with #1 above.  Or if there is a genuine issue with android devices.

I should not too that the wifi is bridged to the local LAN interface and those devices are working fine.

Thanks

Dave
