Initial setup wizard SOPHOS XG. Internet connection says gateway is reachable but shows RED X

Just got XG loaded and running thru the initial setup. On the internet connection screen the Ethernet cable and IP address are green, but the gateway says it's reachable but shows a RED X. DNS is working (grey x) and Firewall is able to reach Sophos licensing system (grey x). Should I skip this step?

    SO I did manual configuration and the firewall rebooted. It then went through the serial number activation and said it failed but then came back and said the Internet was connected. I logged out and back in and it looks like it's activated, but Im not sure.

    Under 'Module subscription details' all show green (evaluating) except sandstorm and enhanced support.
