How to whitelist local applications

I run database on my server and my local workstations access the database via database application.  It takes a long time to launch, after I upgrade to the most recent firmware.  I didn't take as long to open in the past.  Do my firewall scan this local application each time I launch it?  Is there a way I can whitelist local applications residing on my workstations so that it can be launched faster?  Is there security risk if I whitelist these local application within my lan?

  • Hi Daniel,

sounds like a routing issue? Is you server on the same network as your workstations?

after you upgraded did you delete the ads-wan entries and remove the Nat policies and create a default Nat rule?

  • Server and Workstations are in the same network.

How do I delete ads-wan entries, remove Nat policies and create a default Nat rule?

Sorry I am not a tech guy.

  • You open the tab and delete each edit-wan entry.

XG should not be affecting your internal network connections, there is no reason for the applications to be blocked by the XG unless you have firewall rules and Nat policies that are trying to send the applications out to the internet.
