Hello All. We are a Sophos Partner.
So we have (2) SG230's (HA) and about (40) SG115's . In our office we have XG replacements for all these units which will be phased in at specific times. This is a hub and spoke VPN and the plan was to install the XG230's at the hub while maintaining the VPN tunnels and then selectively batch upgrade the SG115's to the XG115. This is new hardware. Now I have read where there is a migration tool available as well as a "migration help desk". We have put a request in with our Sophos Rep to get into the helpdesk queue to discuss this.
However, what are the odds that the migration tool will help in this scenario? I have read where people just got frustrated and reprogrammed their units from scratch but for 40 units that would be a huge process. We were hoping to get most of the data migrated into the XG's with slight XG related tweaks.
Our concern is that we have not heard back from our rep on this request so we are concerned this might be drawn way out possibly due to covid, etc so we are very concerned at this point.
Am I being too optimistic about this process?
