IPSec VPN tunnel status notification

Hello,

there is feature for email notification of IPsec tunnel is up and down. Maybe useful feature for admin with several branch office VPN tunnels. But try to use it when you deploy Sophos Connect clients with IPSec ...

Is there possibility to disable notifications about user VPN connections and limit it for branch office VPN tunnels only, please ?

Petr

    Hi ,

Thank you for reaching out to the Community!

Unfortunately, there is no option to disable email notifications just for the IPsec Connect Client remote users. If you disable the IPsec email notification from the System services > Notification list > VPN, the notifications will be disabled for both IPsec site to site and Connect Client IPsec.

This feature has already been requested internally, but there is no ETA as of now.

    Thanks,

  • Would be nice if it wouldn't take too long; I get 8 mails from every IPSEC remote worker; 4 for connection established and 4 for connection terminated. One mail for each SA in the IPSEC connection....

This might make it very likely to oversee a notification where a real s2s connection goes down.

    Hi ,

Unfortunately, there's no option to turn off the notification generated during SA re-key. This setting is global, and if you turn it off, there won't be any notification in a real tunnel down situation.

Try to clone the policy and configure lessor re-key time for both Phase1 and Phase2 on the firewall that is initiating the connection and let us know if that helps.

    Thanks,
