4GB or 8GB of RAM for XG Home?

Hey y'all,

I'm setting up an appliance with XG Home Edition as I got a machine on the cheap (Protectli FW2, Intel J1800), but the RAM on the system from the previous owner is apparently too small for XG v18 (2GB). Would it be better to get 8GB of RAM right off the bat or will 4GB be more than enough?

    Seems not to be enforced on VM installations from my reading of posts.

    My hardware has 8gb, but after a reboot during upgrade displays 6gb approx.
