Sophos XG Firewall Home Edition SFOS 18.0.4 MR-4 random crashing and reboot

My XG Firewall Home Edition has started crashing and rebooting itself at apparently random intervals - about 1-2 times a day over the last week. Sometimes at times when no users are active (e.g. 3am). Normally the only indication of the problem is the emails it sends me telling me it's restarted.

Hardware is QOTOM Dual LAN Mini PC with Core i3-3217u, 4GB RAM, 232GB HDD.  It's been running without any crashes for nearly three years.

I've checked the system graphs for the past month and everything is very normal, with low CPU, disk, memory usage etc.  No spikes before crashes either.

I've tried rolling back to SFOS 18.0.3 MR3 and it rebooted a few hours later, so I've gone back to SFOS 18.0.4 MR-4.

I happened to be logged into the console one time it crashed and I saw several screens of text fly past immediately before it rebooted.  Too fast to read it all but I did notice 'kernel panic' in the final few lines.

I appreciate that it could be an intermittent hardware fault, but that'll be difficult to troubleshoot without swapping the hardware out as a unit (£££).

Any ideas on possible causes, or suggestions for what to look at next please?

Thanks
