XG Version 18 is very different than 17 when configuring L2VPN

Any one got a step by step how to configure L2VPN in ver. 18 XG.17is all i can find and works in minutes but does not apply to 18. cant get it working in 18

What do you mean by different? The GUI is different or it does not work after the same settings applied?

both. Cant get it working client fails to connect, step by step instruction for version 17 do no apply where is 18 version?

The documentation for L2TP in v18 is this.

The GUI on v17 and v18 is a bit different, especially for the Firewall rules and the NAT section.

What is the error you’re getting? Can you show us a Screenshot of your Firewall rule.

i gave up and opened a support ticket. they spent 2 hours on it and l2vpn will not work. got tired and gave up. i tried version 17 instead and it works well. don't know what next step is.
