Still poor SSL VPN performance on MR4

Hello there.

So i did an update to MR4 with hope that performance of ssl vpn is gonna be solved... But unfortunately its not. Still the same. Im using UDP and ive beed testing on newest SophosConnect as well as OpenVPN for android official app.

Here im pasting some screenshots from Phone. More speed =  not connected

Less = via VPN - connected ;)

Are there still any solution for  it ? Is there any hope ?:D

  • All my customers have perfect, intended performance after upgrading to the MR3 release.

    So i highly assume, there is something broken in this setup. As you reported this back in the days with the same performance values, it sounds like the MTU Size or something like that is crushing your performance.

    You need to dig deeper into those performance numbers. Maybe the XG WAN Interface is broken. Window scaling on Client/XG is disabled or something like that.

  • Ok i'll try if you say so. Im relayingy on default settings regarding WAN mtu. Im not uaing PPoE default mtu for wan is 1500. Why there isnt no such issuse on fgt xD

  • If you are using the default UDP setting for the VPN traffic, check your UDP Flood Detection settings (try turning it off if it's on).

  • Well i did some testing and also ive check ddos settings and seem to be that there was some problem "syn ack" <-disabled. Now i have tested vpn again via WiFi in remote location and now its much better  but if it could be better ? Ive got 1gb up and down  remote location where im testing is 500/500 .
