Large downloads blocked with Decrypt and scan turned on in SFOS 18.0.4 MR-4

Not sure if this only affects this release since I have just started XG in our Lab to prepare for migration from SG to XG.

I have turned scan&decrypt on and now when downloading large files (> 1GB) these downloads simply stop downloaden (the download seems to continue, but almost no data is transferred after about between 800MB and 1GB have downloaded).

If I then add the specific site to to the "Local TLS exclusion list" URL-group then the download finishes just fine with the entire download going fast.

Is this something that can be configured elsewhere so I don't need to keep adding sites to that list on a daily or weekly basis once everyone starts using XG?

  • Same thing happens here with that site. File downloads to about 800+ MB with speed of 4 - 5 MB/s then all of a sudden slows down to 19 - 60 KB/s and seems to stay there, however I didn't wait between 1 and 2 hours to see if the download would actually finish...

Tried it in Edge and Vivaldi browser and both have the same behavior.

Anyone else seeing this or knows where this could be comning from or better how to solve this?

  • Do you see any TLS issues or something in your Logviewer, if this happens?

Because this could be a interrupt.

The same behavior is builtin for Sandstorm and smaller files but it should not kick in for you, as you do not have Sandstorm (i guess?) and not for such big files.

Could you revisit the ips.log in time? Maybe there is a interrupt logged.
