Anyone have any experience using Sophos XG?

We use SonicWALL firewall/UTM at our company. It's really nice and we make good use of it between the various security services, but it still seems to lack some of the functionality we are looking for. We did a little bit of research and Sophos XG looks like it might be a really good fit for us as a firewall/UTM, and we would also be using their endpoint protection services well.

I was just wondering if anyone had any experience with Sophos XG and could offer some input/ feedback. Was there anything unexpectedly negative about it? How is support?

We did have a product demo and everything looked really good but I'm still looking around for various bits of feedback from actual customers.usps tracking

  • As someone who has just made the move from SonicWALL to Sophos XG I can say that I like the product - it's easy to configure and manage and migrating configuration from one device to the other has proved fairly straightforward.

    That's the good news!

    The bad news is that support is awful. I've been trying to get a problem resolved for two and a half months. I have to continually prompt support for updates...and get nothing. The only time I can get any movement is by escalating through account managers and threatening to take my business elsewhere.

    You'll see from this and other forums that I'm not alone.

    If was making a purchasing decision today, I would not be buying Sophos XG!
