Sophos XG Mesh Network Disconnected AP Continiously

Hello Community

i need help. I'm desperate!

At my home i use a lot of AP55 and AP55c in a Mesh Network. I guess after one or two weeks all my AP's lost at the same time the connection to the root AP continiously.

After reboot(disconnect the Powercable) its run successfull.

Here my configurations:

  • Sophos XG Home Edition (current Firmware 18.0.3)
  • AP55 / AP55c (Current Firmware 11.0.014 )
  • DHCP Settings:
    • Root AP: static IP
    • Lease Time 43200 / Max: 43200

Here is a short clip from my Logfile:

I cant find a message that help me to find the problem.

I hope you can help me.

Sorry for my english. I do my best ;-)

  • Hi Norman,

which channel are you using 2.4 or 5ghz. I think from my experience you can only use 2.4ghz as a mesh with the AP55 and AP55c, I had both running similar to you without any AP connection failures.

A further thought  the subject. The main AP is not located near a steel cabinet or similar where the door is opened regularly and left open causing signal degradation?

    Added question about location.

  • Thanks for your info.

i will try to change the  Chanel and activate only 2,4 GHz.

what’s the best way to log or monitor the communication between the main ap and the mesh clients? I would like to see what happen if the clients lost the connection.
