Unable to get optimal speed of 1gbps using XG135

We are using Sophos XG135 and recently just upgraded to a 1gbps modem.

ISP provider have confirmed that direct connection we are able to achieve close to 900mbps up and down.

However, we did a speedtest for wireless connection, we achieve around 200plus mbps up and down.

Is there any settings that we can tweak to enable us reaching an optimal speed?

We need this to be focused on wireless connection.

Appreciate your help on this.

what devices are you using for the speed test over the wireless, is it wifi?

It is a Ceiling Type AP, Unifi AP-AC-Pro

Hi,

what speed does it connect at and what speed does it show user devices connecting to it at?

If you copy a file from your LAN to a device over the wifi what is the speed of transfer?

Doing speed tests over wifi is not a reliable way of assessing connection speed.

The speed it connects at is 900plus Mbps

If we connect via LAN cable would be 700plus Mbps

Copying file of 4mb between 2 machines connected via LAN will take a split second

Copying file of 4mb between a machine connected to LAN and Wifi will take approx 3s

Wifi speedtest is around 120mbps up and down

Understood the part whereby performing speedtest over wifi is not reliable. But the drop is huge and was wondering if there are any settings we could tweak to enhance the performance.
