Replacing Eth3 HA interface cable- simple?

I have an Active/Active HA pairing and I may want to replace the HA Link cable - Do I HAVE to disable HA or can I remove from the Aux device first, wait till primary shows link is down and then swap out the cable? Sorry for what could be a simple question but I don't have access to any test systems at this time.

Thank you for contacting the Sophos Community!

If you remove the cable it will cause the AUX device to factory reset.

HA can be disabled from either device. If disabled from the Primary Device, HA will be disabled on both devices. If disabled from the Auxiliary Device, HA won’t be disabled on the Primary Device and will act as a standalone device.

If you remove the cable it will cause the AUX device to factory reset.
