DHCP not issuing addresses

Hello,

I have everything configured the way I want it for now. Everything is working, except for DHCP. When I check the status, Sophos XG Firewall says that it's running, but my devices will not connect, and can't seem to find the DHCP server. But I have DHCP turned on and set to my LAN port (192.168.1.1) and my pool range set to 192.168.1.40 - 192.168.1.254. I have my two DNS servers entered. I can connect if I set a static IP address on each device, so my servers have no issue connecting. I can't figure out why it won't serve the addresses. Someone, please help.

PS. I thankfully have pi-hole and so I'm using it for the time being to serve DHCP.

  • Hello TheCode,

    Thank you for the follow-up!

Additionally to rfcat_vk recommendations, please do a tcpdump on Port1 to see if the XG is receiving the requests from your devices to hand out IPs.

Please SSH in to the XG and run from the advanced shell:

    #tcpdump -eni Port1 port 67 or 68
