Is it possible to change the time zone, when HA is enabled? (Answer)

Hi,

I was searching for an answer for my problem, as I had to change the time zone of my XG Firewall V18, and ended up at this Thread (which is closed)

https://community.sophos.com/xg-firewall/f/discussions/108679/is-it-possible-to-change-the-time-zone-when-ha-is-enabled

This doesn't helped me much, so after chatting at online support, and several calls to phone support I ended up helpless, without knowing what would happen (if I could get myself locket out, as I was also located outside the premises where the XG was installed with only LAN access, etc)

Well, finally I had to embrace the problem and I leave here the info for whom maybe be in the same point as me.

Background

I have two Sophos XG Firewall 230 with HA enabled. The time zone is incorrect, and I need to correct it. To do so I have to disable HA and reeneable it again. I was currently using 4 Ports. 1 WAN,1 LAN, 1 HA,1 DMZ

Procedure

You must be sure that the XG that is Active (Meaning HA) is the one that is holding all licences, and from this one you should disable HA. In my case, the partner who installed my XG made it completelly wrong and I did the other way round and I had some little annoyances.

After disabling HA, the XG that was the Passive, reset itself, and restarts. Some settings are cleared away but about everything is the same. If you do it correct, disableng it from the Active XG and License holder, you won't loose anything,  but in my case, I lost some things:

- Firewall Rules
-NAT Rules
-IP Addres from WAN and DMZ
-Device Access settings
-Some other minor settings I can't recall now

The most important thing (was for me) is that LAN ip address and user/password is respected, so I ha access to both XG Firewalls. I managed to copy some details to the one that was licensed, and finally set up the time zone correctly, and reenabled HA in a breeze (Enabling HA is as easy as sliced bread, you may find many posts here about it)

So these are my 2cts about this problem I had
