XG v18 with Windows 10 L2TP client

I am setting up an XG, ver 18.

I am trying to setup L2TP access but cannot get the built-in Windows 10 client to connect.  (I have several L2TP connections from my PC to other routers which do work, and several IPSEC S2S VPNs in the XG which also work).

I have followed https://support.sophos.com/support/s/article/KB-000036443?language=en_US to setup L2TP service

I have followed https://support.sophos.com/support/s/article/KB-000038160?language=en_US to setup the Windows client.

But no joy.

Firstly, I suppose I ought to ask - is it possible to connect to XG v18 from Windows 10 using the built-in Windows client?  I'd love to hear from someone who has actually got it working.

    Thank you for contacting the Sophos Community!

    If your configuration is correct please try changing the route precedence as follows: (You would need to SSH in to the XG to be able to change this from the console)

    console> system route_precedence set vpn static sdwan_policyroute
