this is probably more a feature request than a question.
Does Sophos plan to develop a true configuration CLI, which reflects the GUI configuration?
I see a lot of room for improvement in this topic, as repeating tasks are extremely time-consuming via GUI, especially on lower-end appliances where the GUI performance slow.
a few examples:
- configuring interfaces, especially when you have a lot of aliases
- "default" ACLs, like default drops for every zone
- cosmetic stuff, like dns, ntp, admin users, admin profiles, notification.
- network objects
...
although you can do some stuff with RestAPI and probably some stuff with templates from central (in the future), it would be nice to have a config CLI built in the box, where you can easily copy /paste your config and do manipulations on the fly in "realtime".
or maybe there are at least some hidden support scripts somewhere?
