WAF with Exchange 2016, Client not sending random mails

Hello together,

I had a strange behavior with some of my clients which are working from home (outside of our company network).

Problem is/was that some mails get stuck in the outbox of outlook. These mails are completly random, but once they get stuck even saving the mail to desktop and removing it from outlook and then sending again - the mail get stuck again - always! When i disable the cache mode from exchange, it will send the mail out, also when I open the ssl vpn connection. I could get a workaround by disabling "application attacks" in the Exchange general waf rule.

Did someone else have this or a simular issue? (Problem was on 17.5 and also on 18)

Are you able to provide reverseproxy logs from your firewall? Please replicate the issue if you can and collect the reversepoxy logs for further investigation.

Hi,

here is the log - I tried it 2 times. There are some avscan errors, but I am not sure if that is the problem. Even when I disable av scanning, it will only work if I disable application attacks.
