Slow net speed

I am using Sophos XG home (SFOS 18.0.3 MR-3) as a VM in Proxmox with 6 gb of RAM with 2 cores CPU. My home net is 750mb down and 350mb up. I am getting full speed on the VM running opnsense but I am only getting 213 down and 142 up on Sophos. I have not changed any default firewall or policy settings. CPU utilization hovers between 67 to 93 % during the tests.
