Sophos SSL VPN Client Will not connect - reset by peer errno=10054

i have one remote Windows 10 desktop which will not establish a VPN connection to the XG135 at our office.  It worked properly before we had to change our office Public IP address.  I downloaded the updated configuration (as well as uninstalled and reinstalled a newly downloaded copy of the client with configuration for windows (This is a windows 10 computer (build 1909).

I am able to get this user connected via a laptop which also worked before the IP change and, after updating the config it also now works properly.  Nothing was changed or added to the Windows 10 desktop regarding software or updates.  I have uninstalled, removed sophos folders, reinstalled etc.

The below sequence repeats continuously:

Thu Nov 05 16:56:48 2020 Restart pause, 5 second(s)

It is something on this desktop, but I don't know what else to look for.  Anyone have any insight?

  • HI All,

    Same issue.

I have updated the sophos to the following SFOS 18.0.3 MR-3 and created the SSL VPN.

The customers has 3 users so far all have this issue, checking the customers AV and Network drivers are up to date and still the same error, the AV was disabled while the test was done.

The odd thing about this is I have their SSL config on my laptop and it works no problem at all, tried all 3 users and not one dropped, they have other users that are also having no issue, so this would lead me to that there is nothing wrong the FW rules, SSL VPN connection etc but it is a local issue.

I even got two of the users to use a hotspot to connect to the VPN and this also dropped.

Running out of things to try, any ideas?

    Kind Regards

    Jason
