Windows Remote Desktop Random Freezing

I was fine when using the SSL VPN client.  I switched to the new Connect IPsec VPN client and now I'm frozen for minutes at a time, all day long.  Sometimes it's just a few minutes in between.  Sometimes it's an hour.  Nothing predictable.

Casting about in Google found this: https://community.sophos.com/xg-firewall/f/discussions/109828/xg-firewall---windows-remote-desktop-freezing

So, I logged in and noted there is nothing logged under DoS attacks.  On the DoS & spoof protection tab, spoof prevention  is unchecked.  But I added a trusted MAC along with it's IP address anyway.  And Now I have a reliable connection.

18.0.1 MR1 Build 396 on an XG135.

Anyone know why this works when the setting for spoof prevention is disabled?
