One network (DHCP) for both wireless and wired clients

Hi everyone,

I have two IoT devices that need connected both wireless and wired on the same network.

Wireless and wired (connected to a dedicated port of the FW via a switch) clients must have the same IP adress range (so the same DHCP).

How I could set up this (from scratch) on my XG firewall?

Many thanks.

  • Hi,

    you need to

    - setup the Wifi
    - bridge the Wifi to the LAN
    - setup a DHCP server for the LAN
    - create a rule that allows traffic from LAN/Wifi to LAN/Wifi and vice versa

Are the devices connected to LAN and Wifi at the same time or alternately? If at the same time why?

    Regards,
    BF
