Problem with VPN + RDS and STAS

Hello.

1 week ago we started to have a problem here that is very weird.

I have some employees that are doing home office, so they connect via SSL VPN and after that they connect via RDS to a local machine here (each user connect on a different machine).

On "user activity" appears 2 connections there, for example "adriano_custodio SSL VPN 10.1.XXXX" and "adriano_custodio STAS 192.168.1.XXX"

After some time the STAS connection just dissapear and the internet on the local machine stop working.

If the person logoff e logon again will enable STAS, but after some minutes just go offline again, this was not happening a few weeks ago.

This week i tried to update the firewall, still not working.

Any ideas ?

First of all, remove the IP Range of SSLVPn from STAS (Exclusion List). Second, check if your Logoff Detection works on STAS: support.sophos.com/.../KB-000035623

Just added the ip range of VPN on exclusion list.

Logoff detection is configured correctly.

Can you verify via wmic, if you can check if the client is logged in.

Can you explain better what you mean?

Btw, didnt work the "ip range on exclusion"

The curious thing is that a 1 to 2 weeks ago it was working fine.
