HTTPS Port forwarding

HI,

I know there are many posts and articles on forwarding Ports. but none is regarding HTTPS port 443

I know how the Ports are forwarded and done many times. this is first time I am doing 443 forwarding and getting this issue.

I am trying to forward port 443 but getting very peculiar issue.

My external IP is 1.1.1.1

Webserver ip: 192.168.1.1

Website running on port 443

SSL bought from Godaddy installed and configured.

Cyberoam Admin is on Port 4443

When I try to access the site Externally I get SSL warning, if I check the SSL it says Organization Name Cyberoam, OU Cyberoam.....  issued to mysite .com DNS name mysite.com, if I click Accept and go ahead I am able to access my site but SSL shows unsecured.

If I browse Internall the sit works finr and NO SSL warnings.

What is the ISSUE here? Why Cyberoam SSL is presented where as the SSL is issued from Godaddy. what am I doing wrong?

any help or pointer.. will be  much appreciated.

Thanks.

    Hi ,

Thank you for reaching out to the Community!

Did you check if there is any local service configured on the firewall that uses port 443? Did you check the User Portal port on your firewall?

    Thanks,

  • Hi,

Yes, checked nothing there. Infact what is surprising is that the all the SSL details match that of the SSL installed on the webserver Issued date 16 Sept 2020 Expiry 16 Sept 2022. the Issue/Expiry, the DNS Names everything. but the Issuer name is Cyberoam and not Godaddy.

After reaching this forum and till waiting for any reply, I decided to deleted everything, even the objects and checked port 443 it is not reachable shows error 404.

recreated the whole port forwarding from scratch,  last time I created custom service got HTTPS port this time used Inbuilt HTTPS service still the error warning on SSL is same.

after acknowledging the SSL warning it displays my website without any issues but there is a NOT Secure site warning in the browser.

Mystery for me is How and from Where this SSL is being issued by Cyberoam and not from Godaddy

Is Cyberoam affixing anything on HTTPS traffic?

    Thanks
