Unable to access the internet for other VLANS

After the initial setup of Sophos Xg, I have only internet access to the VLAN, which connected the LAN port of Sophos xg. How to get internet for other VLANs??

I have 3 VLANs on the core switch.

192.168.1.0/24

192.168.2.0/24

192.168.3.0/24

The firewall LAN port is connected to the 192.168.1.0/24 vlan and have access to the internet. How to configure the Sophos xg to get internet access for other VLANs too?

I can ping and access the firewall from other VLANs, but no internet.

Please help.

Can anyone provide me a document with all the necessary configurations required for a Sophos Xg firewall?

  • Hi  : Thank you for contacting the Sophos Community!

When you are trying to generate Internet traffic from VLAN network machine what is the observation with TCPDUMP and drop packet?

    command for packet request:

    console > tcpdump 'host X.X.X.X.

where X.X.X.X is the outside Public IP for which you are checking PING from VLAN network machine ( Like 8.8.8.8 or 4.2.2.2)

    command for drop packet

    console > drop 'host X.X.X.X

  • Should I create a firewall rule for inter-VLAN communication?

Or can enable web filtering cause this issue?
