Is wifi supported for XG firewall on non-sophos HW?

Dearest Sophos community and crew,
In my spare time I am an IT manager for a small business.
We have recently purchased and now run a XG-115w.
Unfortunately I can't often be onsite. So when I am, I want to be ready to quickly implement a fix with minimal downtime.
I've been making use of the online training, the community, and have installed a copy of XG home on a recently purchased mini PC so I can use it at home and as a learning/test device without impacting the business.
But unfortunately I cannot get wifi running.  After some searching I found the threads below, which lead me to believe that my mini-pc's pcie wifi card is not supported.
can you please confirm:
1.) Is wifi supported for XG firewall on non-sophos HW?
2.) If yes, any tips to getting it to show in the AP list?
3.) If not and I purchase a APX120 or similar will it, combined the XG home mini-pc device, perform as per a Sophos XG-w HW device?

  • Sophos XG Home supports Sophos own AP(X) Hardware.

You cannot integrate a external wireless card as a XGxxxW (Wireless) Hardware.

Wireless cards are maybe known as a interface, but never as a Access Point.

If you purchase a APX120, it would be working. You could also purchase a older AP(55/15) in Ebay for home installation.
