XG blocking Synology

Hi

Our Synology NAS' are no longer able to connect to internet for eg Software updates and MS365 backups.

We made allow all from NAS to Wan and allow all web rule. 

XG logs shos DNS and NTP traffic .. Also we can ping from the NAS to internet..

But if we from the NAS web interface try to download software we get 'connection error. check your DNS and time settings' 

If we place one NAS behind a simple DSL router connection is fine. But fails behind XG.

Any ideas?

  • Hi,

    your web policy is the issue, do you have proxy or DPI  elected? If you remove the web policy and use application and IPS then your NAS should connectionless you want to scan specific downloads of your NAS.
