Sophos XG an SSL-VPN

I have a question:

I have an SSL-VPN_Access profile. There are user "A and B" listed and the  access in my company network.  Thats all oK.

When i create a second profile with a separate user "C" and a separate access to a specific subnet in my network, will this affect the rule 1 also?

Because there is appearing a message which tells me that.

But i think thats wrong, because i assign the affected rule to a user. Is that right? So i can assign rule 1 to user "A" and rule 2 to user "C". Is that right?

  • I have a second question:

When i changed the SSL-VPN-Access-Rule (for ex. a second subnet), is that right, that the old users can logged in nevertheless

    Hi ,

Thank you for reaching out to the Community!

When you create a new SSL VPN Profile for user "C," it won't affect user "A and B." The user "C" would have to download the SSL VPN configuration from the User Portal.

Could you please share the screenshot of the message?

If you did not specify users/networks in VPN rules, then created VPN firewall rules could apply to both SSL VPN profiles.

    Thanks,
