Sophos Connect client

You can use the new Sophos Connect 2.0 Client, which supports both IPsec and SSLVPN for the connection, and use the "auto_connect_host" option so the client can automatically connect to the vpn when it's outside of the HQ, or in the branch.

There's also the second option, which should work better than setting up Sophos Connect over all users on both branches, which is a Sophos SD-RED device, with it you will be able to setup a encrypted tunnel from the branch to the HQ with support for split tunnel, It also has options for WiFi.

The thing is since it's only 2 users at branch side i don't want to have a dedicated firewall. Do I need to have sophos xg firewall both sides in this scenario?

You can use either Sophos Connect on the client PC's at the remote office, or a Sophos Red device.  You don't need a XG at both locations, just at HQ.
