Need Help, Setup Hyper-V with 8+ NIC for Sophos XG 17.5.14

Hi,

is there any recommendation for a hyper-V setup with SFOS 17.5.14 or 18 with 8+ NIC´s

I need to restore a Backup from an old SG210 r1 Hardware (No Flex Modules).
I had this once working, but now i can´t connect to 172.16.16.16 anymore.

After a reboot of the SFOS it´s possible to ping 172.16.16.16 for a few seconds and then the appliance breaks away.

I want to get a clean setup for testing.

Is a Legacy NIC better than Network Adapter for the internal LAN?

Will XG 18 work with 8+ NIC?

    Im don't know much about Hyper-V, but with ESXi 7, there's no problem with 8 to 10 interfaces. And since ESXi 7 is free for everyone, in case Hyper doesn't work for you, you can always try it.

    Make sure you disable vmware tools scripts, enable vm hardware acceleration.
