Service status shows warning due to SMRD service being stopped

Hi, after I enabled Multicast Routing for some seconds and disabled it again I get this warning inside Control center in the System block (see screenshot).

Since I'd like to have the status green to be alerted with real issues, how could I get this back to green? I don't want to have Multicast Routing to be activated.

The Applicance is a XG106, firmware is (SFOS 18.0.1 MR-1-Build396) .

I found some older posts regarding this but there is no solution, just the correlation between that status and the Multicast Routing was mentioned.

Thanks,

Jens

  • Hello Jens,

Thank you for contacting the Sophos Community!

I think I was able to replicate the same.

As it is a subsystem once it is enabled it changes from UNREGISTERED to  Running, and will change to STOPPED

    SMRD UNREGISTERED

    SMRD RUNNING

    SMRD STOPPED

If you stop the service and reboot the firewall the service should change again to UNREGISTERED, and the icon of your services won't show amber.

    ( 5 > 3 > 2 > 1 ) console> disable multicast-forwarding
