SSL VPN

our company is using an XG 106 and we want to set up SSL VPN so that an employee can access his office desktop for remote work from home. how is this set up on the XG so that the employee can access all applications on the desktop computer including file server?

thanks,

Thanks for your reply, I believe that our specific question is we don't understand when the remote user is connected to the network how do they connect to there office desktop?  we are currently using Team Viewer installed on the desktop and remote users desktop. is the SSL VPN software installed on both machines or is it done with a firewall rule or setting in the XG firewall?

    thanks,

  • You just need to Configure the SSL VPN policy as per the KB shared by H_Patel and create SSL VPN users.

There is no need for you to install anything on the Office Desktop. All you have to do is to enable Windows Remote Desktop / or Tight VNC.

Now You need to install the SSL VPN client on remote remote Desktop and share the SSL VPN credentials with the user to log-in and connect to the SSL. once the SSL VPN is connected on Remote Desktop, the user can take remote of the OFfice Desktop using Tight VNC or MS-RDP (Microsoft Remote Desktop).

  • thank you for the information.
