DHCP Pool Stops Working

I've been having an issue for about the past year where some of my DHCP pools will randomly stop working. If I just disable and re-enable the pool it will start working again, usually for a few weeks. I have tried deleting and recreating the pools with no success. Any idea what could be causing this? It's very frustrating when users can't get IPs!

  • The pool is not "full" isnt it? So for example, there are only 255 IPs and there are to many leases?

A broken device could cause such a issue.

  • No the pools are nowhere near full. When you say broken device are you referring to a client device or the XG?

  • "Software Broken Device in the Network, which tries to lease all IPs" - To be more precise.

If this happen, can you verify, if XG gets the DHCP Requests and:

    A: Drops them

    B: ignores them

C: Does not even get them?

You can use tools like drppkt on CLI to see, if the drops happen and tcpdump on CLI to see, if those packets arrives.
