Website not available via fqdn but can access via ip address

Good Day All,

I have an issue with our organization website. Our website is published in the internet, it has a public ip address, I can access it outside our organizations network successfully but when I'm on our Guest Vlan (dns I used is google dns 8.8.8.8) I cannot access it via fqdn it says "Website not available

I can access the website when im in the main vlan via websites local ip address but since the guest vlan is isolated I cannot allow its local ip address. I also perform nslookup on the website dns and it points out to its public ip address, also when I browsed it via its pub ip address I can access it without issue. My sophos xg is XG310

Anyone can help me out?

Thanks

  • When I do an nslookup with the webserver dns the result is it's correct public ip address, when i performed tracert, it hops with the gateway which is the firewall then to the telco. Also I can open the webserver in the browser using the public ip address, I just cant seem to open it via its dns which shows "Website is not available"
